Atop an office building, you have a wonderful view of the valley. Comfortable, separate bar/lounge area.

After a stage show at the Convention Center I was invited to dine at Monterey Bay Fish Grotto; one of my fellow dinner companions was Jack LaLanne -- yes, that Jack LaLanne. We both had appeared at the "Healthy For Life" Expo.

I arrived early and sat at the comfortable, cordial bar to enjoy a great cocktail. When the rest of our party arrived we sat to enjoy some great fish.

The Food

The Crab Cakes were a big winner, succulent jumbo lump crabmeat @ $26.95.

Scrod cooked either English style (bread crumb topping) or Monterey style with olives, artichokes, mushrooms and Marsala wine @ $17.95.

Jumbo Sea Scallops stuffed with crabmeat/char-grilled with a lobster Newberg sauce @ $28.95.

Yellow Tail Snapper Cajun style: Basil Garlic -- marinated in a fresh garlic sauce then char-grilled @ $20.95.

The Monterey Bay Fish Grotto has a daily menu of the freshest fish available at market. They are serious about quality in a comfortable and friendly ambience.
