MASHED POTATOES AND RUTABAGA


            1 to 1½ pounds (about 4) Idaho potatoes, peeled and quartered
            1 medium rutabaga, peeled and cut into pieces
            4 tablespoons butter
            ¾ cup milk
            Freshly ground pepper
            ½ teaspoon ground sage
            Sea salt, to taste

Serves approximately 8

Place potatoes and rutabaga in large pan and cover with cold water, bring to a boil. Then reduce heat and cook until fork tender.

Drain well and return to same pan to dry over low heat.

Mash with potato masher. Add butter, salt, sage, and pepper. Heat milk and mash into mixture (use more milk, if necessary).
