POLISH PASTA WITH KIELBASA SAUSAGE


            1 pound medium shells
            1 pound regular or low-fat kielbasa sausage, sliced
¼ inch thick
            1 medium onion, sliced
            4 cloves garlic, whole
            2 tablespoons Colavita Extra Virgin Olive Oil
            One 16-ounce can cannelloni beans
            3 tablespoons ketchup
            
¼ teaspoon dried oregano
            Salt to taste (optional)
            Freshly ground black pepper to taste
            
½ cup pasta water

Serves 4 to 6.

Cook the pasta.  Reserve
½ cup water when draining.

In a large skillet, sauté the sausage, onions, and garlic in the olive oil until the onions are soft.  Add the beans, ketchup, oregano,  salt and pepper, cover, and continue to sauté.  Add the pasta water to the skillet and mix.  Toss the mixture with the pasta and serve.
