CINNAMON APPLE RINGS


            4 large cooking apples
           
½  cup sugar
            2 cups water
            2 cinnamon sticks or
½  cup red cinnamon candy

Wash and peel apples. Core.

Cut each apple into ½  thick slices.

Combine sugar, water, candy in large skillet. Stir until sugar dissolves.

Arrange apple ring in syrup. Cool about 6 minutes.

Remove apples and use as a garnish.
